The opportunity to be part of this apprenticeship program is quite valuable to me. Opportunities like this are not exactly commonplace, and even less likely in my rural community. Through this program, I will gain knowledge, experience, and future opportunity to participate in activities relevant to my interests, useful to my community, and that I very much happen to enjoy.
Sound and Light Design and Engineering is crucial to the production (the whole experience). I enjoy the responsibility of supporting the performers and I like being at the controls for the stage.
I like the impact and effect on everyone I can cause through the board and systems (rather than having to do it manually on stage).
I build stuff all the time, I also deconstruct and recreate, both in real life and virtually. It makes me happy, especially when something I have built helps someone else have a better experience, and takes care of the stuff they need to do their thing.
